Which extracts does CONIUNCTA® offer?
CONIUNCTA® offers two basic product variants: water-soluble and oil-soluble extracts.
Water-soluble extracts: These extracts are specifically intended for formulations that use water as a base. Due to the microbiology, they must be preserved with preservatives to prevent the growth of microorganisms. The preservatives used, such as pentylene glycol, propylene glycol and glycerine, have additional positive effects on the skin by moisturizing and strengthening the skin barrier.
Oil-soluble extracts: These extracts are dissolved in oil and do not require any additional preservatives as they are not microbially critical. They are ideal for formulations that rely on natural preservation and are gentle on sensitive skin.
What types of preservation are there?
- Pentylene Glycol: Pentylene Glycol is a multifunctional preservative that moisturizes and strengthens the skin barrier. It has antimicrobial properties that inhibit the growth of bacteria and fungi. It also improves the texture and sensory properties of cosmetic formulations.
- Propylene Glycol: Propylene Glycol is a moisturizing agent that is often used in cosmetic formulations. It helps to maintain the stability and effectiveness of products and aids the penetration of other active ingredients into the skin. It is also known for its cooling and soothing effect.
- Glycerin: Glycerin is a natural moisturizer that binds water in the skin and thus ensures intensive hydration. It improves skin elasticity, promotes skin healing and protects against dryness. Glycerin is particularly beneficial for dry and sensitive skin types.
Which oil bases are available?
- Jojoba oil: Jojoba oil is a liquid wax that is very similar to natural skin oils. It is known for its moisturizing and protective properties. It is quickly absorbed, leaves no greasy residue and helps to keep the skin soft and supple.
- Squalane: Squalane is a light oil extracted from olives or sugar cane. It is non-comedogenic, absorbs quickly and improves skin elasticity. It also provides antioxidant protection, which helps to protect the skin from harmful environmental influences.
- Sunflower oil: Sunflower oil is rich in vitamin E and essential fatty acids. It protects the skin from free radicals and supports skin regeneration. It is a light oil that is quickly absorbed and is particularly suitable for dry and sensitive skin.
What are the benefits of the extracts?

How should these extracts be used?

- Use in creams, lotions and serums: The extracts can be used in a variety of skin care products to improve their effectiveness.
- Can be combined with vitamin C, hyaluronic acid or retinol, for example: To enhance the moisturizing and antioxidant effects, the extracts can be combined with other active ingredients such as vitamin C, hyaluronic acid or retinol.
How long is the shelf life?
The shelf life is 24 months when stored in a dry place between 10-30°C in the original sealed packaging.
What packaging sizes are available?
The extracts are available in 250 g, 500 g and 1 kg plastic containers. Industrial sizes and prices are available on request and we also specialize in these.
Are there any special storage instructions?
Color changes and slight clouding may occur, but do not affect the product quality.
