The sample comes with an example CoA (not batch-specific), TDS, SDS and CDS; it is intended for development, not for use in end products. One sample per customer and article; for PRO extracts the sample is considerably smaller than 250 g (approx. 50 g). With the sample you receive a code that credits €49 towards your next purchase. For industrial quantities above 5 kg, use the industrial inquiry on the product page. You receive a quotation with quantity, quality and base.

Chamomile Flower Extract (INCI: Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, CAS 84082-60-0) is a water-soluble botanical extract obtained from the flowers of German chamomile (Chamomilla recutita). Characteristic constituents include α-bisabolol, chamazulene, apigenin and the lead marker apigenin-7-glucoside. CONIUNCTA supplies the raw material in liquid form for formulations in the cosmetics and food industries.
Production
The extract is obtained with CONIUNCTA's Adaptive Vacuum Extraction (AVE) and produced in Germany (Made in Germany). The extract content is around 30 % regardless of the variant. One kilogram of extract contains the hydrophilic constituents of approx. 30 g of dried plant material. Glycerin, propylene glycol and pentylene glycol on an aqueous basis are available as carriers. No preservatives are added in any variant; in the propylene glycol and pentylene glycol variants, the respective carrier has an antimicrobial effect.

Use in cosmetics
The typical use concentration is 2 to 5 %. All carrier variants are suitable for cosmetic formulations. By calculation, fragrance allergens listed in Annex III of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 remain below the labelling threshold even at a use level of 5 % (worst case) (see CDS). It is used in facial care, baby care, after-sun products and hair care.
Use in food
The glycerin variant is intended for food applications. The ingredients according to Regulation (EU) No 1169/2011 are listed in the section “Composition (1169/2011)”. The dosage depends on the individual recipe.
