Noni Extract is an aqueous liquid extract from the fruit of Morinda citrifolia, a Polynesian plant. The INCI name is Morinda Citrifolia Extract. The extract naturally contains proxeronine (the precursor of xeronine), iridoids, anthraquinones and flavonoids.
Production
CONIUNCTA produces Noni Extract by Adaptive Vacuum Extraction (AVE), Made in Germany. The raw material is available in three carrier variants: Glycerin, Propylene Glycol or Pentylene Glycol, each on an aqueous base (Aqua). Regardless of the variant, the extract content is around 30%. One kilogram of extract contains the hydrophilic constituents of approx. 30 g of dried plant parts. No preservatives are added in any variant; in the Propylene Glycol and Pentylene Glycol variants, the carrier has an antimicrobial effect.

Use in cosmetics
Recommended use concentration: 2 to 5%. The content of fragrance allergens according to Annex III of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 cannot be derived from the available data; analysis on request (GC-MS or HPLC). In cosmetics, Noni Extract is used in regenerative and skin-care formulations, for example in anti-aging serums, body lotions and after-sun products.
Use in food
Not for use in food: Novel Food under Regulation (EU) 2015/2283 without authorization for this extract. As a cosmetic raw material, the product falls under Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009.
