Almas Caviar Extract: Amino Acids and Peptides for Anti-Aging Formulations
With the CONIUNCTA® PRO CPG-02 Almas Caviar Extract (INCI: Caviar Extract), our premium line expands its portfolio with a raw material of animal origin for demanding cosmetic formulations. The extract is available in three carrier variants: Glycerin, Propylene Glycol and Pentylene Glycol. For formulators, procurement specialists and product developers, this ingredient combines a documented amino acid and peptide profile with a clearly defined efficacy profile and a flexible choice of carrier systems. Amino Acids and Peptides as Key Markers The defining characteristic of this extract is its content of amino acids and peptides. In the CDS, amino acids and peptides are documented at 2 to 7.9 mg/mL as an indicative value (estimation basis: 8 to 25% in dry material, DER 1:10, 70 to 90% extraction efficiency). No further specifically quantified compounds are documented in the data sheet. The extract content is approximately 30%, regardless of the carrier variant. Documented Efficacy Profile The CONIUNCTA® CDS lists the following effects and regulatory claims for the Almas Caviar Extract: astringent, anti-ageing, balancing, elasticity support, moisture-promoting and conditioning. The German product documentation records the claims nourishing, moisture-promoting and anti-aging. These statements form the binding framework for product claims within a formulation; we do not derive any broader efficacy promises from them. Three Carrier Variants for Different Systems The extract is available in three water-based carrier systems. The Glycerin variant (INCI: Glycerin, Caviar Extract) uses anhydrous glycerin (greater than or equal to 99.5%) at approximately 70% of the finished product. The Propylene Glycol variant (INCI: Aqua, Propylene Glycol, Caviar Extract) consists of approximately 40% water, 30% extract and 30% Propylene Glycol. The Pentylene Glycol variant (INCI: Aqua, Pentylene Glycol, Caviar Extract) is based on a Pentylene Glycol/water blend. All variants are clear to amber to light brown liquids and are designed to be water-miscible by virtue of their glycerin or glycol-water system. An overview of further water-based raw materials can be found in our Glycerin Extracts. Use Concentration and Application Areas The documented use concentration for cosmetics is 2 to 5%. Suitability in cosmetics in accordance with Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009 is noted for all variants. The Glycerin carrier variant is additionally suitable for food applications; no use concentration for this field is specified in the CDS. We do not issue blanket formulation or dosage recommendations: our technical team provides individual advice on how to incorporate this ingredient into your formulation. Premium Line CONIUNCTA® PRO The Almas Caviar Extract is part of the CONIUNCTA® PRO line, in which we bring together particularly exclusive raw materials. The extract is produced using our AVE Technology (Adaptive Vacuum Extraction). Note on origin: this is a raw material of animal origin (caviar extract); the organic status is conventional. Specification, Storage and Documentation The density ranges from 1.03 to 1.06. Shelf life is 24 months when stored dry between 10 and 30 °C in the original sealed container. Color changes may occur due to storage conditions and temperature; in the event of turbidity or precipitation, filtration is possible without affecting product quality. According to the SDS, the product is not a hazardous substance and is not classified as dangerous goods for transport. pH, density and refractive index are stated in the respective Certificate of Analysis (CoA). All data sheets (TDS/SDS/CDS) are available via our technical documentation. Sourcing and B2B Consultation Our team is available to assist with samples, complete data sheets and the selection of the appropriate carrier variant.
