The sample comes with an example CoA (not batch-specific), TDS, SDS and CDS; it is intended for development, not for use in end products. One sample per customer and article; for PRO extracts the sample is considerably smaller than 250 g (approx. 50 g). With the sample you receive a code that credits €49 towards your next purchase. Cucumber Extract (INCI: Cucumis Sativus Extract, CAS 89998-01-6) is a liquid extract from cucumber (Cucumis sativus) with cucurbitacin B as its lead marker. The extract contains cucurbitacins, vitamins C and K, minerals and a high proportion of water. This composition accounts for the cooling, moisturizing and soothing properties of the raw material.
Production
CONIUNCTA produces the cucumber extract in Germany using the AVE technology (Adaptive Vacuum Extraction), Made in Germany. Three carrier variants are available: Glycerin, Propylene Glycol or Pentylene Glycol. The extract content is approx. 30 % regardless of the variant. 1 kg of extract contains the hydrophilic or lipophilic constituents of approx. 35 g of dried or approx. 220 g of fresh plant parts. The raw material comes from Europe and the rest of the world, goods from certified organic cultivation are preferred.

Use in cosmetics
The recommended use concentration is 2 to 5 %. Thanks to its good water solubility, the extract is easy to incorporate into aqueous formulations. It is free from essential oils and therefore free from declarable fragrance allergens. Typical formulations include eye creams, toners, masks and after-sun products. The cooling properties are particularly valued in eye care. All carrier variants are suitable for cosmetic applications (framework: Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009).
Use in food
The Glycerin carrier variant is intended for food applications. The regulatory status is food and food supplement. Cucumber is established as a vegetable and salad ingredient, its use in salads, pickles and beverages is documented worldwide. Yes. The extract dissolves well in water and is therefore suitable for water-based formulations such as toners, gels and masks.
