FAQ
FAQ
Please read our FAQ.
Fumitory Extract is an aqueous plant extract obtained from common fumitory (Fumaria officinalis), a herb native to Europe. The raw material carries the INCI name Fumaria Officinalis Extract and contains isoquinoline alkaloids (fumarine, protopine), fumaric acid and flavonoids. Fumaric acid was historically first isolated from this plant.
Production
The extract is obtained using Adaptive Vacuum Extraction (AVE) and produced in Germany (Made in Germany). It is available glycol based with glycerin, propylene glycol or pentylene glycol. The extract content of all variants is around 30 percent. One kilogram of extract contains the hydrophilic or lipophilic constituents of around 35 g of dried or around 220 g of fresh plant parts. The aqueous extract is free from essential oils and therefore free from declarable fragrance allergens.
