Water Navelwort Oil Extract is the oil-soluble extract form of Centella asiatica, known in Asia as Gotu Kola. The raw material carries the INCI name Centella Asiatica Extract (CAS 84696-21-9) and features the triterpenoid asiaticoside as its primary marker. The oil matrix makes the botanical constituents available for oil phases and rich formulations.
Production
The extract is obtained via CONIUNCTA's Adaptive Vacuum Extraction (AVE) and produced in Germany (Made in Germany). The extract content is around 30%. One kilogram of extract contains the lipophilic constituents of approximately 35 g of dried or around 220 g of fresh plant material. Available carriers are jojoba oil (Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil), squalane or sunflower oil (Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil).

As an oil-soluble form, the extract can be incorporated directly into the oil phase and is suitable for body and facial oils, balms as well as rich creams and emulsions.
