Grape Leaf Extract (INCI: Vitis Vinifera (Grape) Leaf Extract) is a water-based botanical extract obtained from the red leaves of the grapevine (Vitis vinifera). Its lead markers are the oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPC), which belong to the class of condensed tannins. The raw material is also known as vine leaf extract or red vine leaf and carries the CAS number 84929-27-1.
Production
CONIUNCTA produces the Grape Leaf Extract using Adaptive Vacuum Extraction (AVE). Purified water serves as the extraction solvent. The raw material is available in three carrier variants: Glycerin, Propylene Glycol and Pentylene Glycol. This allows the profile to be adapted to different formulation systems. The extract content is around 30%. One kilogram of extract contains the hydrophilic constituents of approx. 30 g of dried plant parts. The extract is produced in Germany (Made in Germany).
