FAQ
Please read our FAQ.
Eberraute Extract is obtained from Artemisia abrotanum, a plant commonly known as southernwood. The aqueous extract contains flavonoids with rutin as the lead marker, along with bitter compounds and tannins. INCI: Artemisia Abrotanum Extract.
Production
CONIUNCTA produces the extract with AVE technology (Adaptive Vacuum Extraction), Made in Germany. The extract content is around 30 percent regardless of the variant: 1 kg of extract contains the hydrophilic constituents of approx. 35 g of dried or approx. 220 g of fresh plant parts. Three carrier variants are available: glycerin, propylene glycol or pentylene glycol, each combined with water. Preservation is glycol based. The plant material comes from Europe and the rest of the world, with certified organic material preferred.

Frequently asked questions
Is southernwood extract the same as Eberraute Extract?
Yes. Both names refer to the extract from Artemisia abrotanum. The INCI designation is Artemisia Abrotanum Extract.
Is Eberraute Extract water soluble?
Yes, the extract is readily soluble in water and can be incorporated directly into aqueous phases, for example in hair tonics.
Which carrier variant suits which application?
All three variants are suitable for cosmetics: glycerin, propylene glycol and pentylene glycol. The glycerin variant is intended for food applications.
What is the shelf life of Eberraute Extract?
24 months when stored dry between 10 and 30 °C in the original sealed container. The colour may change during storage. If turbidity or precipitation occurs, filtration is sufficient. This does not affect the quality of the product.
