Production
The extract is obtained at CONIUNCTA using Adaptive Vacuum Extraction (AVE) and manufactured in Germany (Made in Germany). It is available in three water-soluble carrier variants: Glycerin, Propylene Glycol and Pentylene Glycol. Regardless of the variant, the extract content is around 30%. Use in cosmetics
The recommended use concentration in cosmetics is 2 to 5%. The documented cosmetic properties of this raw material are soothing, conditioning and moisturizing. All carrier variants are suitable for cosmetic applications. Typical formulation types include moisturizers, after-sun products, facial gels, body lotions, hair care and shaving care. The aqueous extract is free from essential oils and therefore free from declarable fragrance allergens. The aloin content must be taken into account during formulation; a maximum limit of 50 ppm applies to cosmetics.
Use in food
The glycerin variant is suitable for food applications. For functional food and beverages, the data sheet specifies a dosage of 0.5 to 2%.
