Application in cosmetics
The extract is suitable for all cosmetic product types. The use concentration is 2 to 5 %. Thanks to its good water solubility, the powder can be incorporated into emulsions via the water phase. Typical fields of use are firming body care and anti-cellulite concepts. The characteristic citrus scent with neroli and petitgrain notes can be used in product positioning.
Application in food
The bitter orange extract is also suitable for food applications in all variants. Traditionally, bitter orange is used as a flavouring agent, for example in marmalade. Stored dry between 10 and 30 °C in the original sealed container, the shelf life is 24 months. A colour change during storage cannot be ruled out depending on temperature.
