Two routes. For development, select the “Development sample” variant at €49 on the product page and order it through your customer account. The sample comes with an example CoA (not batch-specific), TDS, SDS and CDS; it is intended for development, not for use in end products. One sample per customer and article; for PRO extracts the sample is considerably smaller than 250 g (approx. 50 g). With the sample you receive a code that credits €49 towards your next purchase. For industrial quantities above 5 kg, use the industrial inquiry on the product page. You receive a quotation with quantity, quality and base.

Buddhawood Extract (INCI: Eremophila Mitchellii Extract) is an aqueous plant extract from the Australian emu bush (Eremophila mitchellii), also known internationally as buddhawood or false sandalwood. According to the CDS, its primary markers are the total polyphenols (calculated range 21–135 µg/g); the extract also contains sesquiterpenes and phenolic compounds. Fragrance allergens listed in Annex III of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 remain below the labeling threshold by calculation, even at 5% use (worst case) (see CDS). It carries a characteristic woody scent.
Production
The extract is obtained using CONIUNCTA's Adaptive Vacuum Extraction (AVE) and is produced in Germany (Made in Germany). Regardless of the variant, the extract content is approximately 30%. One kilogram of extract contains the hydrophilic components of approx. 30 g of dried plant material. Water-based Glycerin, Propylene Glycol and Pentylene Glycol are available as carrier systems; no preservatives are added; in the Propylene Glycol and Pentylene Glycol variants, the carrier has an antimicrobial effect.

Use in cosmetics
The recommended use concentration is 2 to 5%. Buddhawood Extract is used in balancing and moisture-supporting formulations as well as in astringent formulations. Its woody scent makes it interesting for men's cosmetics and Australian-inspired care. Typical formulation types are facial care, body lotions and wellness products. All carrier variants are suitable for cosmetic applications (Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009).
Use in food
For food applications, the extract is classified as a novel food under Regulation (EU) 2015/2283. Food use in the EU requires authorization; no authorization is currently in place. The raw material is therefore supplied as a cosmetic raw material.
