Burdock Root Extract (INCI: Arctium Lappa Root Extract, CAS 84012-13-5) is an aqueous plant extract from the root of greater burdock (Arctium lappa). The primary marker is the lignan arctiin, and the root also contains inulin. CONIUNCTA supplies burdock root extract as a B2B raw material for the cosmetics and food industries.
Manufacturing
It is produced using CONIUNCTA's Adaptive Vacuum Extraction (AVE), Made in Germany. The extract content is around 30%. One kilogram of extract contains the water-soluble constituents of about 35 g of dried or around 220 g of fresh plant material. The raw material is available in three carrier variants: glycerin, propylene glycol and pentylene glycol. Preservation is glycol-based.
