Calamus Extract (INCI: Acorus Calamus Root Extract, CAS 84775-39-3) is an aqueous liquid extract from the root of Acorus calamus. The primary marker is β-Asarone; the extract contains the water-soluble flavonoids and tannins of the calamus root. CONIUNCTA supplies the raw material as B2B goods for the cosmetics industry.
Production
The extract is produced using CONIUNCTA's Adaptive Vacuum Extraction (AVE), Made in Germany. It is available in three carrier variants: glycerin, propylene glycol and pentylene glycol. Regardless of the variant, the extract content is around 30%. One kilogram of extract contains the hydrophilic components of around 35 g of dried or around 220 g of fresh plant parts.
