Echinacea powder extract - Immunomodulating Echinacea raw material (CAS: 90028-20-9)
INCI: Echinacea Purpurea Extract. Echinacea powder extract (Echinacea purpurea, CAS 90028-20-9) is one of the most widely used herbal immunostimulants. Alkamides, polysaccharides and chicory acid form the bioactive active ingredient complex.

Typical areas of application include after-sun products, sensitive facial care and wound healing support. The integration takes place in aqueous phases at pH 5-7. Stability against oxidation must be observed.
Application in the food industry
Echinacea powder extract is used as a food raw material in the production of food supplements and functional beverages with immune-supporting positioning. Seasonal demand is concentrated in the fall/winter. Capsule and tablet formulations dominate the market. Regulatory status: food supplement (immune system).
