Typical fields of application include soothing facial care, after-shave products and toners for blemished skin. The astringent properties are used in formulations for pore refinement. The characteristic almond-honey scent should be taken into account when perfuming.
Food application
The extract is suitable for all food types and is used, among other things, in herbal teas and tea blends. Its good water solubility makes dosing easier in liquid applications. As meadowsweet contains natural salicylate compounds, the salicylate sensitivity of certain consumer groups should be considered in the product information. Regulatory status: traditional food (tea).
