FAQ
FAQ
Please read our FAQ.
Frankincense oil extract (INCI: Boswellia Serrata Resin Extract) is the oil-soluble extract form of frankincense obtained from the resin of Boswellia serrata. The lead markers are the boswellic acids (KBA and AKBA). The extract is supplied in an oil matrix and can be incorporated directly into oil phases and anhydrous formulations. CAS: 97952-72-2.
Production
The extract is obtained with the Adaptive Vacuum Extraction (AVE) developed by CONIUNCTA and is manufactured in Germany (Made in Germany). Three carrier oil variants are available: jojoba oil (Simmondsia Chinensis Seed Oil), squalane or sunflower oil (Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil). The extract content is around 30 %. One kilogram of extract contains the lipophilic constituents of around 35 g of dried or around 220 g of fresh plant material. Preservation is oil based.
