FAQ

Ginkgo Extract (INCI: Ginkgo Biloba Leaf Extract) is a botanical leaf extract from Ginkgo biloba with the CAS number 90045-36-6. Its characteristic lead markers are the Ginkgo flavone glycosides, i.e. glycosides of quercetin, kaempferol and isorhamnetin. The Ginkgo Extract is a liquid on a glycolic base and is readily water soluble.
Production
The Ginkgo Extract is obtained using CONIUNCTA's Adaptive Vacuum Extraction (AVE) and manufactured in Germany (Made in Germany). It is available in three carrier variants: glycerin, propylene glycol or pentylene glycol. The extract content is around 30 percent regardless of the variant. One kilogram of extract contains the hydrophilic constituents of approximately 35 g of dried or around 220 g of fresh plant material. Preservation is glycol based.
