FAQ

Mugwort powder extract is a 10:1 concentrated dry extract from common mugwort (Artemisia vulgaris). The INCI name is Artemisia Vulgaris Extract, and vitexin (flavone C-glycoside) serves as the analytical lead marker. As a fine, water-dispersible powder, this raw material is suitable for cosmetic and food supplement formulations.
Production and origin
The extract is produced as a 10:1 concentrate and processed into a fine powder. The 10:1 ratio describes the concentration of the plant material in the finished extract. Designed in Germany. The starting material is sourced from Europe and the rest of the world market, with raw material from certified organic farming preferred.

Its dispersibility in water makes it easy to incorporate into aqueous and emulsified systems, for example body care and wellness products. The fine powder is easy to dose and suits standardizable formulations.
Use in food
The powder extract is the form usable under food law. For food supplements only: the EU Novel Food Catalogue (POL-NF-00151) lists this plant part as not novel only in food supplements. Validation is recommended before use in food (see TDS). As a water-dispersible powder, it can be incorporated into liquid and powdered formulations.
