Noble Dendrobium Orchid Extract (INCI: Dendrobium Nobile Extract) is an aqueous plant extract from the orchid Dendrobium nobile, known in traditional Chinese nomenclature as "Shi Hu". The extract contains dendrobine alkaloids, polysaccharides and phenanthrenes and is offered as a raw material for cosmetic formulations.
Production
The extract is obtained using CONIUNCTA's Adaptive Vacuum Extraction (AVE) and is Made in Germany. It is available in three carrier variants: with Glycerin, with Propylene Glycol or with Pentylene Glycol, each on an aqueous base. The extract content is around 30%. One kilogram of extract contains the constituents of about 35 g of dried or around 220 g of fresh plant parts.

Use in Cosmetics
The recommended use concentration is 0.5 to 3%. The extract is used in moisturising and anti-aging formulations, for example in facial care, eye serums and concentrates. The aqueous extract is free from essential oils and therefore free from declarable fragrance allergens. The product is intended exclusively for the cosmetics industry; all carrier variants are suitable for cosmetic applications.
