FAQ
FAQ
Please read our FAQ.
Queensland Orchid Extract is an aqueous plant extract from the Cooktown orchid (Dendrobium bigibbum), the national flower of the Australian state of Queensland. The extract carries the INCI Dendrobium Bigibbum Extract and contains orchid-typical polysaccharides and phenolic compounds. It is used as a cosmetic raw material for moisturizing formulations.
Production
CONIUNCTA produces the extract using Adaptive Vacuum Extraction (AVE) in Germany. The extract content is around 30 percent regardless of the variant. One kilogram of extract contains the hydrophilic constituents of about 35 g of dried or about 220 g of fresh plant material.
The extract is available in three carrier variants: Glycerin, Propylene Glycol and Pentylene Glycol, each in Aqua (Water). The preservation is glycol-based. The aqueous extract is free of essential oils and therefore free of declarable fragrance allergens.
