FAQ
FAQ
Please read our FAQ.
Ratanhia root oil extract is the lipophilic (oil-soluble) extract form of the Peruvian ratanhia (Krameria lappacea). The raw material carries the INCI name Krameria Lappacea Root Extract and is characterized by the lead marker Proanthocyanidins (catechin tannins, calc. as pyrogallol). The condensed tannins it contains give the extract astringent properties.
Production
The extract is obtained with CONIUNCTA's Adaptive Vacuum Extraction (AVE) and is Made in Germany. The extract content is around 30%. One kilogram of extract contains the lipophilic constituents of around 35 g of dried or around 220 g of fresh plant material. Three carrier options are available: jojoba oil, squalane or sunflower oil. Preservation is oil based.
