Vanda Orchid Extract (INCI: Vanda Coerulea Extract) is an aqueous plant extract from the blue Himalayan orchid Vanda coerulea. The extract contains anthocyanins, flavonoids and polysaccharides. CONIUNCTA supplies the raw material in liquid form for cosmetic formulations.
Production
The extract is obtained using Adaptive Vacuum Extraction (AVE) and produced in Germany (Made in Germany). The extract content is around 30%. One kilogram of extract contains the hydrophilic constituents of roughly 35 g of dried or about 220 g of fresh plant parts. Available carriers are glycerin, propylene glycol or pentylene glycol, each on an aqua base. Preservation is glycol-based.
