FAQ
FAQ
Please read our FAQ.
Amla powder extract 10:1 is a dry extract from the fruit of the amla tree (Phyllanthus emblica, also Emblica officinalis). The INCI name is Phyllanthus Emblica Fruit Extract, the CAS number is 90028-28-7. The key markers are gallic acid and ellagic acid. The amla extract is a fine, water-soluble powder.
Production
The extract is obtained from the amla fruit using ethanol and water and concentrated to an extract ratio of 10:1. Maltodextrin (1 to 20 %) serves as the carrier material and enables the dry, easy-to-dose product form. The final product is designed by CONIUNCTA in Germany (Designed in Germany).

Use in cosmetics

As the powder is readily soluble in water, it can be worked into the aqueous phase. Typical applications are hair and scalp care as well as facial care.
Use in food
Amla powder extract is suitable for food applications in all variants. The water-soluble powder is easy to dose and process, and the maltodextrin carrier makes weighing easier. The taste is tart and astringent, which should be taken into account when developing recipes. Checking labelling and claim requirements is the responsibility of the party placing the product on the market.
