The sample comes with an example CoA (not batch-specific), TDS, SDS and CDS; it is intended for development, not for use in end products. One sample per customer and article; for PRO extracts the sample is considerably smaller than 250 g (approx. 50 g). With the sample you receive a code that credits €49 towards your next purchase. Cinchona bark extract (INCI: Cinchona Succirubra Bark Extract) is a water-based plant extract from the bark of Cinchona succirubra. According to the CDS, its primary markers are the total alkaloids (calculated as quinine), calculated range 0.6–2.2 mg/g; the extract also contains further cinchona alkaloids, tannins and bitter substances. As a raw material for the cosmetics industry it carries the CAS number 84776-28-3.
Manufacturing
The extract is produced at CONIUNCTA using Adaptive Vacuum Extraction (AVE) and manufactured in Germany (Made in Germany). It is available in three water-based carrier variants: glycerin, propylene glycol and pentylene glycol. The extract content is around 30 % across all variants.

Use in cosmetics
The recommended use concentration is 2 to 5 %. The content of fragrance allergens under Annex III of Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 cannot be derived from the available data; analysis on request (GC-MS or HPLC). Typical formulations include hair tonics, scalp tonics and astringent products. Astringent and balancing properties as well as anti-aging and skin elasticity are documented for the extract. The raw material is intended exclusively for the cosmetics industry and is not suitable for food use.
