CONIUNCTA® PRO CPG-51 Truffle Extract is an aqueous extract from the European summer truffle (Tuber aestivum). The INCI name is Tuber Aestivum (Truffle) Extract, and the primary markers are free amino acids. The extract also contains trace elements. Fragrance allergens listed in Annex III of the Cosmetics Regulation remain, by calculation, below the labelling threshold even at 5 % use level (worst case) (see CDS).
Production
The truffle extract is produced in Germany using Adaptive Vacuum Extraction (AVE). The extract content is around 30 %; 1 kg of extract contains the hydrophilic constituents of approx. 30 g of dried truffle. The concentrate is available in three carrier variants: glycerin, propylene glycol or pentylene glycol. More about AVE technology.
