Jewel orchid extract (INCI: Anoectochilus Formosanus Extract) is an aqueous plant extract from the jewel orchid (Anoectochilus formosanus), a rare Taiwanese orchid also known as the golden orchid. The extract naturally contains flavonoids, polysaccharides and glycoproteins and is supplied as a raw material for the cosmetics industry.
Production
It is obtained using CONIUNCTA's Adaptive Vacuum Extraction (AVE), Made in Germany. The extract content is around 30 % regardless of the variant. One kilogram of extract contains the constituents of about 35 g of dried or roughly 220 g of fresh plant material. The raw material is available in three water based carrier variants: Glycerin, Propylene Glycol and Pentylene Glycol.

Use in cosmetics
