FAQ
FAQ
Please read our FAQ.
Olive Leaf Extract (INCI: Olea Europaea (Olive) Leaf Extract) is an aqueous plant extract from the leaves of the olive tree Olea europaea. The primary marker is oleuropein, accompanied by hydroxytyrosol, flavonoids and triterpenes. CONIUNCTA supplies the raw material as a light green liquid for the cosmetics and food industry, manufactured in Germany.
Production
The extract is produced using CONIUNCTA's AVE technology (Adaptive Vacuum Extraction). The extract content is approximately 30% regardless of the variant: 1 kg of extract contains the hydrophilic or lipophilic components of approximately 35 g of dried or approximately 220 g of fresh plant material. Three carrier variants are available: glycerin, propylene glycol or pentylene glycol, each combined with water. The aqueous extract is free of essential oils and therefore free of declarable fragrance allergens.

Use in cosmetics
The recommended use concentration is 2 to 5%. All three carrier variants are suitable for cosmetic formulations. Thanks to its good water solubility, Olea Europaea Leaf Extract can be incorporated directly into the water phase. Typical applications are anti-aging serums, day creams and body care with an antioxidant profile as well as Mediterranean skincare concepts. The raw material is documented in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009. TDS for each carrier variant, SDS and claim documentation are available on the product. Prices and volume tiers after login.
Use in food
For food applications, the glycerin carrier variant is intended. The carrier glycerin is declared in the ingredient list. It is used purely technically as a raw material for the food industry.
Frequently asked questions
Is olive leaf extract water-soluble?
