This category brings together antioxidant plant extracts rich in polyphenols and vitamins, 65 raw materials in total. Alongside botanical extracts, it includes Chaga Extract from the mushroom of the same name and the ascorbic acid derivative EFFECTICS® Ethyl Ascorbic Acid. The range spans Green Tea Extract, Grape Seed Powder Extract 10:1 and Olive Leaf Extract, Amla, Aronia and Camu Camu, through to Astaxanthin Powder Extract and Bakuchiol Oil Extract. A 10:1 extract is produced by concentrating ten parts of the source plant into one part of extract, in powder form typically on a carrier such as maltodextrin.

Polyphenols as a cosmetic raw material and for food supplements

Formulators choose the appropriate form for each recipe: liquid extracts on glycerin, propylene glycol or pentylene glycol can be incorporated into aqueous cosmetic formulations, oil extracts such as saffron or green tea into lipophilic phases, and powder extracts into capsules, tablets and beverage powders.
