The Leaves category brings together plant extracts obtained from leaves and above-ground leaf material. It ranges from well-known raw materials such as green and white tea, olive leaf, ginkgo, peppermint and sage to specialities from numerous orchid species such as Vanda, Dendrobium and Phalaenopsis. Leaf material typically contains polyphenols, flavonoids and chlorophyll, which makes leaf extracts a sought-after raw material for cosmetics as well as for food supplements and food.

What sets CONIUNCTA leaf extracts apart

All extracts are made using gentle Adaptive Vacuum Extraction (AVE) and are produced in Germany. Depending on the formulation, different carrier options are available. The carrier determines whether an extract can be worked into the water phase or the oil phase of a formulation and influences solubility and processing:

• Water-soluble extracts based on glycerin, propylene glycol or pentylene glycol
• Oil-soluble oil extracts, for example as green tea or black tea oil extract
• Powder extracts based on maltodextrin

The range is aimed at formulators in cosmetics, food supplements and food as well as at informed end customers. Every item is declared via INCI. A concentration ratio such as 10:1 indicates how much leaf material has been processed into one unit of extract.
